Managing a Gardening Career

Gardening is a good career path for people who enjoy working out of doors and are interested in plants. Gardeners get to spend the majority of their time outside, tending to the gardens of their clients and landscaping them where needed. General duties of a gardener may include pruning, mowing the lawn, planting trees and flowers, watering lawns and laying turf.

The main administration aspect for a gardener will come from finding clients. It can be challenging to advertise your gardening services and might require some investment from you into your business. If you don’t want this worry, you can work for a gardening company instead. You will still usually have your own clients, so can discuss what they want from their garden directly with them. The money may not be as good, but you can rely on the company owner finding clients and won’t have to do your own advertising. They may also have their own turf suppliers, gardening equipment etc., so you will have less choice.
