Things to consider before you purchase a greenhouse
Whether you’re a new or experienced gardener you probably have or are considering buying a greenhouse to grow your wonderful plants. But is a greenhouse for everyone? We’ve compiled a short list of things to consider before you take the plunge into greenhouse life.
1. Size – greenhouses come in several sizes depending on your needs. Are you just looking for a bit of variety in plants? Then a starter greenhouse could be a great option for you. Or are you looking to kick your garden production up a notch? A grower greenhouse will be the better option for you, as a starter will be too small. Now you need to consider how big will your greenhouse need to be to satisfy your garden needs and more importantly do you have the space to accommodate.
2. Insulation – if you live in a colder region that has harsher weathers and you want to grow all year round you will need to consider the material of your greenhouse. If you live in a region that experiences mild winters or do not plan on growing all year, glass or polycarbonate will do the trick.
3. Landscape – will your new greenhouse suit your garden? Do you have adequate space for one?
